It's infuriating to me that phones are essentially "pick your poison, Google or Apple"
If I want to put Linux on my phone I should be able to plug in a USB C drive and have at it.

#nixos update: decided to go with flakes with direnv so whenever I cd to a project dir it just automatically starts up cause I"m lazy like that. it's neat.
Also set up my nix config to automatically backup to my private git instance whenever I make changes.

so Void Linux didn't work out for me. Ran it for a couple hours lastnight and was like "this is Arch" (controversial take I know) I didn't like it.
Instead I tried NixOS and I fell in love with it. I stayed up all night just configuring it and I absolutely adore it.

I've decided to switch from Arch to Void to see how it is. I really want to use something OTHER than systemd so I figure this is a good way to give it a go.
Don't get me wrong I love Arch but I just want to try something new. Plus I'm one of those sickos that LOVES to reinstall everything.

I think I just finished building something that no single web browser has and no single web extension has ever been made for.
It's something that could potentially completely move users from reddit to lemmy. And I'm shocked that I got it to work and it works well. like scary well.

I know I advocate FOSS and all that but at this point I would seriously consider paying someone to build something better than Gimp.
