DOGE and Trump laid off 850 NOAA personnel, gave them early buyouts, and will pay their pensions. Then they realized their mistake and hiring 450 new employees that have to be trained in the middle of hurricane season. I thought the "E" in DOGE stood for efficiency.

See the little dot circled in red? That's the Heard and McDonald Islands. They are uninhabited, require a permit to visit, and are a two week sail from Australia. Trump just put a 10% tariff on their exports, of which there are none.
