I've encountered a lot of people today who are having intense emotional reactions to seeing the turnout for #NoKings protests. Some are in tears. Most don't understand why.

I can tell you why. This is what it feels like to truly understand you are not alone. It is powerful and empowering.

The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.

Thinking about Rayford Logan for #BlackHistoryMonth today.

Logan was a solider in WW1 who was influenced by DuBois to study history and received his PhD in 1936 from Harvard. A prolific author, his dissertation on US diplomatic relations with Haiti was his first book.
