So much history at the end of a muddy track! I visited Ronald Blythe there several times and got to paint in the garden. I hope it will be well looked after by the new owners.

I would imagine he had canvas but no stretcher frame to hand so stretched the canvas over Laura's painting intending to remove it later and just forgot. I've done the same!
