A lot of folks felt it made some changes that are too different from the original materials. And the writing is sometimes cringe. People calling it woke are the loudest minority.

I generally share opinions that most of the time align with SkillUp's. I know he gave Judgment and Lost Judgment crap but it was legit reasons for him. And this time it seems he's also got a lot to say about this one.

Damn just saw a clip of the characters talking in cutscenes, the facial animation does not match with the voice acting. They might not have yet to figure out how to do proper facial animation in Frostbite, just like in Andromeda. Not sure I'll buy it since it's quite important for an RPG.

Seen some reviews and it's quite messed up. Big gaming sites are praising it but some independent reviewers do not recommend it.

Totally, fleshing out these old characters seems more fun than introducing new ones imo. I haven't read the fan-made Yellow Dragon Wandering manga from Yakuza Online. Imo big missed opportunity for a great character. They should've made a Gaiden for Ryuji.

Akiyama and Tanimura movesets are soooo good. They're so different from Kiryu's. I still want them to make a Gaiden featuring these two.

I myself am Chinese but I did not get the chance to experience that era of Chinese RPGs. I know there are good ones but most of them follow a very specific Wuxia/Xianxia formula. Don't expect much, unless it's one of the good ones. Check ratings.
