Indie game dev based in Melbourne, Australia. Working on a roguelite game in Godot.
So @microsoft.com decided that they would delete the local copy of files from my PC since they were synced to onedrive. Didn't ask me to do this at all. Now trying to download them again and syncing is extremely slow with no way to prioritize a specific directory. Windows sucks.

Just ran into the ago old problem of working on code I wrote a month ago an realizing that it is harder to work with when the entire system isn't fresh in my mind.
It can be hard to identify what things are not obvious or potential gotchas at the time of writing though. I miss code reviews lol #dev

How much of your #gamedev time is spent troubleshooting/ reporting/ otherwise working around engine bugs, and what engine are you using? Not sure if I should be regretting my choice or if this is a problem that exists across platforms.

Every time I start prototyping something, I find myself wasting time setting up animations before I have implemented any logic at all. I know that I should be greyboxing first to prove the ideas before spending time on them. Any advice on breaking this habit? Working in 2d. #indiedev #gamedev
