We're in the dining room at the huge table with 15 or so people. My partner's mom has finally sat down to eat. We hear a clatter from the kitchen. Dog has grabbed the whole-ass turkey carcass and made a run for the basement with his prize. Luckily we caught him before he got to the carpeted area.

I try to speak Spanish and German comes out. But you're right that limiting context helps a lot.
