In case you don’t believe that boycotts work and scare companies: Canadian grocery stores now put all Canadian made products at eye level and mark it with signage that says it’s Canadian.

Kraft also put out a commercial explaining that they are Canadian and to please continue buying their products.

17: Companion (2025)

Comedic horror is so hard to do and this one did it so well.

It’s hard not to compare it to Subservience or M3gan, which are both fun as well, but Companion really nails the autonomy issue at an absurd angle.

16: Smile 2 (2024)

A great follow-up to a movie I already had high praise for.

My only grievance with the newer film is that some of the actors aren’t really doing creepy smiles, they just look like they’re having fun.

The first movie really made a point to find people with creepy smiles.

15: The Watchers (2024)

Went in thinking this was an M. Night Shyamalan movie but it was actually his daughter, Ishana, that directed this.

There was a time where I’d make a bunch of dumb jokes about predictable twists, but honestly, they’ve been making some decent content lately.

Post a meme made by you:

(After Dyne in FF7 Rebirth goes full blow Akira with ZERO explanation, I couldn’t help myself.)

14: Severance (S1)

Surreal. Absolutely unpredictable and quite original.

Season finale felt like high stakes in all the best ways.

Can’t wait to start Season 2.

13: Dragon Quest 3 (HD2D)

The new coat of paint and the amount of time it’s been since I’ve played this game made it feel absolutely brand new.

It never feels great praising the music in these games, but the new arrangements are definitely special while still remaining nostalgic.

12: Echoes of Wisdom

A good mix of freedom/creativity from newer Zelda titles blended with traditional dungeons and bosses from older titles.

I liked that they differentiated Zelda’s play style from Link but eventually it just became a matter of spamming your best monsters.

I will praise the Japanese version of Zelda 2 forever simply by placing a trivial boss in front of the invisible wall of Dungeon 5.

Removing it in the English version was a serious mistake.

Weird fact about me:

Never believed hiccups were real, I’ve never had them myself, and I always felt they were attention seeking behaviour when others would get them.

It wasn’t until I got Blaze as a puppy, who got hiccups then and still gets them now, to start believing in them.

Felt good to stream again for the first time in awhile.

I think this might be one of my favourite midbosses/bosses in the entire Legend of Zelda franchise.

Skyward Sword truly gets a lot of unjustified hatred.

11: Ranma 1/2 (S1)

I was a HUGE fan of Ranma 1/2 growing up, never in a million years did I ever think this show would get a reboot.

It took a bit for the new opening to vibe with me, but the new animation style is gorgeous.

10: Dan Da Dan (S1)

I don’t generally watch a lot of anime, but a co-worker really hyped this up for me.

Seems like I’m broadening my horizons each year.

10/10 Banana Organs.
