I hope it does!

Revisiting old research is an underrated benefit for your tree, for sure.

I'm also having problems with Cloudflare sites of all kinds.

Yeah, it seems like a really rare name. I hope to find his birth details one day (he was likely born in Jamaica) and see whether Mordet or Mordecai was his original given name. He gave it to his son as a middle name but there it ended in my family.

What did you find?
November 19, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Hopefully not in school!

My ancestor, Mordet, sometimes went by Mordecai, for some reason. Both fascinating names.

I was just trying to sound cool: I had detention just once, when our RE teacher held back the entire class for some ungodly reason.

Twelve. I restricted myself to my direct line, otherwise it would've gotten ridiculous. Do you have any British ancestors? #AncestryHour

Thanks for the heads up. #AncestryHour

Mordet Pereira
Eleanor Saill (although she was apparently a piece of work)
Emily Bliss (for the surname)

I don't have any wacky ones in my direct line so far, unfortunately.

You were allowed to read? Lucky bugger. We did lines.
November 18, 2025 at 9:14 AM
Right? I don't like the rushed feeling. Usually I don't order anything unless it's the next necessary step in my research; there's no way of knowing which wills from collateral lines would aid me in the future. It's nailbiting. #GenHour

It's working fine on my PC, so I've clearly messed something up on my laptop.
November 13, 2025 at 12:58 PM
What a thing to demolish!
November 13, 2025 at 9:11 AM
Dang. Thanks so much for checking it out though. I will install it on my PC and see if that one works.
November 12, 2025 at 5:13 PM
I absolutely wouldn't be surprised if I messed up something during installation, checked the wrong box or whatever.

I'm such a dunce lately. I actually have my 'Records Found' checklist on Excel that shows immediately who I do and don't have wills for. Good job, past-me!

I will likely do this once I get a minute. At the moment, I just fill it in manually every time and ignore the question marks. Not ideal, but the information is recorded and that's the main thing.

That was why I held off upgrading for a time as well, until I was convinced by someone speaking about all the smaller changes to improve the programme overall. Very usefully, however, I cannot remember what they were! I think my brain deleted the information once I'd accepted it, I'm sorry.

It's better that it's just a me thing than a software issue. Irritating though; I'm not very techy.
November 12, 2025 at 9:16 AM
Great news!
November 11, 2025 at 8:44 PM
Yes, indeed, I believe it released in May.
