LOVE watching Boiler Room sets, but the setup of letting everyone stand right around the DJs stresses me the fuck out. To their credit, they're usually super cool about getting rammed into, grabbed, hugged, etc.

Pretty incredible to see them play in a restaurant down the street from my house. Great tunes in a fun setting.

October VHS Horror - Day 30

More than any other VHS cover in the horror aisle, this one always intrigued me the most. Why is Balbricker from Porky's recreating American Gothic with screaming heads underneath?

The question is more interesting than the movie, but still one HELL of a cover!

Gateway horror at its finest. Featuring makeup FX by the legendary Stan Winston, most famous for his work on A Gnome Named Gnorm. (JK, we're talking Jurassic Park, Terminator and Aliens here.)

According to one scene, hockey was outlawed in 2024. That's the only problem with any facts or science I could find in this movie.

October VHS Horror - Day 23 & 24

Even under the bright florescents of the Blockbuster Video, nestled among much more terrifying covers in the horror aisle, the simplicity of these always scared me much more than any monster's face glaring back at me.

Weather is finally cooling down, so it’s time to kick back with a snifter of brandy in my finest “Leslie Nielsen in Creepshow” drip.

October VHS Horror - Day 22

Another lenticular cover, this time for a movie most people hate that I have a fondness for.

Fun Fact: This film's writer/director wrote the very underrated slasher/thriller "Identity" from 2003. A hidden gem!
