There’s two. Both hit me before high school, and stuck with me throughout. The first is Colleen Doran’s ‘A distant soil’. Beautiful characters of an incredible (to my catholic educed eyes) variety of sexualities and gender presentations. One character explicitly trans as well.

So, we’re going back aways….Reiken and d’mer from a distant soil. The first queer relationship i read and the first that showed me it was possible. Next are my favorite villains, who prove that bad guys get love too. Finally, the whole damn cast of here is greenwood…giving me something to aspire to.
