This conversation topic trivializes, and worse, normalizes the insane threats coming from the president. If a conversation must be had, I suggest asking “how does an aggressive threat to Canadian sovereignty coming from the USA make you feel?” I am very disappointed in the CBC for this one.

Ian and company, I have to add my voice to the comments here seriously questioning the framing of this issue. It comes across as not only completely tone deaf but also normalizing a preposterous and unacceptable idea. Surely there is a rethink happening before this airs?

I add my dismay at this abysmal framing.I can't think of a time I've been so disappointed in our national broadcaster.
Fix it. Otherwise your outrageous framing will be the focus of the show rather than the conversation you hoped to have.
