Also, how did the Vikings not sign a viable backup QB in the offseason? Flacco or whoever could have made them a playoff team or in the mix if McCarthy failed.

The salary cap and other factors make the NFL trade deadline the hardest to do deals among pro sports, but a big reason also seems that GMs just don't seem to have a mentality of getting anything for expiring assets like other sports.

Whoa it was ruled a TEN D TD. I didn't think the defender had possession before fumblnig again. I don't like how these are scored since the offensive unit was still on the field after getting the ball back again. 1/2...

Both Jacob deGrom and Byron Buxton played (more or less) full healthy seasons and their teams didn't make the playoffs. Didn't see that coming.
