All three opponents can Ron at the same time in some rule sets, including Mahjong Soul's. Three is extremely rare however and actually results in a draw.

If time is the main factor the earlier ones are going to be your best bet. DQ2 isn't too long and it established the gameplay fundamentals for the rest of the series. If you're feeling bold, DQ4 is a little longer but it's got a very colorful cast of characters and story to enjoy.
