Religion is taught in public schools, and kids get reprimanded for non-compliance with the holiday, even if they don’t celebrate it themselves.

I get that many don’t feel like Santa and Christmas trees are Christian traditions. Apart from Santa being based on St. Nick, all customs deemed “non-religious” were co-opted from Pagans in order to convert them.

The fascist right is split into 2 camps: One wants Jews in our own ethno-state (with many believing it will usher in the end times). The other (like Fuentes) doesn’t want to fund any kind of Jewish project, particularly one that doesn’t actually serve US interests. Both want Jews to leave.

It’s a great store and I’m glad I live close. But it makes me furious that we have Soviet-style lines for food due to the province’s restrictive covenants that prevent competition. Grocery prices in QC and ON are much lower, because you have 5 “Gateways” in every neighbourhood.

We’re lucky to be walking distance to my son’s school, though part of the way is a busy street without a sidewalk.
This is a nice initiative, but most students at CSAP schools live too far to walk.

I’m starting to relate to the werewolf on Wednesday. Reminds me of the parable of two wolves - the winner is the one you feed. I ask myself which of my grandmothers will I turn into. The one who lectured tediously or the one who listened carefully, revealing her opinions through her questions.
