I'm looking to interview people who've moved to the (Persian) Gulf states to work, retire or enjoy the financial advantages – pseudonymously, if they prefer. Please reskeet!

What led you to emigrate? What are the upsides, what are the downsides? Will you stay?

'My father said please don’t touch my children. You can kill me but don’t kill my children.’

I made a Jam Tomorrow last year on Idi Amin's expulsion of Ugandan Asians, for anyone curious about it.

New World asked me to write about why I hate Celebrity Traitors. Being the versatile hack I am, I was happy to oblige.

Will be talking to Alan Manning about this for @ohgodwhatnow.bsky.social later this week (and reviewing it for @thetls.bsky.social later on)

In no other field would this degree of uselessness be acceptable. But it’s school IT, so no one cares.

Unmarried women over 25 used to be called ‘Catherinettes’ and parade in exotic hats once a year.

Look at this. Apparently it enables you to follow me on Instagram. But surely you need to use the camera to do that, and you can’t do that to something ON a phone?

God knows. I did warn you I was rubbish at this.

It’s not all lovely though. 1991, please have your ecumenical church back.

No experience? Nonsense. How about ‘seizing the chance to defraud the government of £122m during a pandemic’?

Deep 80s vibes. I had a duvet cover like this.

By popular demand, the next More Jam Tomorrow will be about …

MILTON KEYNES! With a side on the @openuniversity.bsky.social.

Fun afternoon in Milton Keynes, test-driving this autonomous bus!

Talking to people takes time, and time is money. Much easier just to turn out a vibes-based bit of opinion.

I’ve been part of the problem in the past. I try to be less of it now.

If I throw these out there’ll be another pandemic, won’t there?
September 20, 2025 at 4:14 PM
I can stop searching now.
September 18, 2025 at 12:20 PM
I dunno guys you might want to try somewhere busier to make your point. Maybe a bus stop?

I was initially surprised that Rayner hadn’t sought more advice on her tax liability. And £40k is a lot of money. But @timleunig.bsky.social makes a good point here, especially as a court told her to set up the trust.

Goes to show quick takes can be bad ones.

Why is it so difficult for Britons to talk honestly about private schools?
