Why is California forcing insurance companies to insure more fire-risk homes???!!
Isn’t this the opposite of what we should be doing?
Infuriating.

This article is infuriating because it paints lowering home prices in Emeryville like it’s a bad thing.
We somehow want two incompatible goals:
1. Affordable housing
2. Housing as a great investment.
We get one or the other people. Let’s choose number one.

Have you ever looked at the Panama Canal from a satellite or land cover map?
There is a 7-km forest buffer around the canal.
