Don't know what the small print will say of course - devil will be in the detail. But regardless, Reeves at least sounds professional and coherent. It feels like she knows what she's talking about. Thats not how Badenoch comes across - petty and ill-informed.

I don't necessarily agree with everything in the #budget25 and I think every Chancellor misses the opportunity to reform the tax system to simplify it.
There's a lot of small business owners who will not like the 2% dividend hit (which is on top of corp tax).
Reeves probably did ok?

The UK government needed to raise tax. But in general the public really don't understand government finances, economics and taxation. More needs to be done.
My biggest issue is lack of understanding that public services are very largely funded by private sector and individuals.

My goodness. Doesn't matter what party .. the Leader of the Opposition's response to the #budget is boring. Just noisy name-calling. Only think LoO hasn't said is that the Chancellor smells like poo.

Busiest pavement corner in #Edinburgh and after an almost £86m refurbishment of North Bridge, this is the quality of engineering we've got. Flooding at pedestrian crossing.
