Two, the scientists most vulnerable right now are trainees and early career faculty. We need to prioritize their support bowever possible (public, foundation, institution) as they are the future and their ideas have the greatest potential to positively impact human health. 2/2

My challenge with blind review (which I understand has its merits) is that if we want to make the person/team a major factor how do you do this blindly? One model I have seen work is a blind review of LOIs with specific aims, and then unblinding the accepted LOIs when the full grant is reviewed.
