We discovered it was coming because I’ve been watching the Bear with our cooking/food enthusiast 1: year old and we wanted to see where we could get a credible Italian beef in El Paso. Answer is nowhere, until Portillo’s opens, from what I can tell. Only bummer is that it is FAR away… 26 miles.

I’ve only been a few times, but just the jumbo hot dog with everything does it for me.

I worked at a company in San Antonio when we still lived there that had a cafeteria that made a pretty great Chicago dog that got me hooked on them as a concept.

That was my optimistic hope…. Good enough to scratch the itch!
