Went to vote yesterday & one young bloke asked whether I knew to put numbers in the boxes & not ticks? Seriously, do I look like it’s the 1st time I’m voting? I used a moisturiser this morning but it doesn’t work miracles…#ageism

I’ve never been mad about Sydney’s Lord Mayor but this fine Jane Cadzow’ piece gives Clover Moore an interesting dimension. Maybe Meryl Streep could reprise a certain role in the movie…? www.smh.com.au/national/que...
‘Queen of woke’, ‘fun police’: How Clover Moore has outlasted nastiness – and six PMs
There have been many responses to the Sydney Lord Mayor over her two decades at the helm. She’s also been called the most successful female politician in Australian history.

During this break, I decided to start on the unread books on my shelves. First, People Of The Book by Geraldine Brooks, which was magical. Now Salman Rushdie The Golden House. Pure indulgence. Why unread? I have fomo when it comes to acquiring books.

Ok, I’m calling it - Lune plain croissants are lovely. They’re crisp but really not better than my local French baker in Bondi. Maybe the ones with the works are world standard? Anyway no more queuing for me.

During the pandemic, jumbo packets of toilet paper were status symbols, denoting your good fortune, today in Sydney it’s a paper bag of Lune croissants. We’re a bunch of Lunatics

Excellent SMH analysis about a leader who has many concerned…

The PM has been shown how to respond to antisemitism, but not by Peter Dutton
NSW Premier Chris Minns has been quick off the mark to name antisemitic attacks, leaving the prime minister in his wake.

Excellent piece by Jordan Baker, which also acknowledges the lighter shades of Alan Jones including his generosity www.smh.com.au/national/for...

Recently a bike lane was built in an artery behind Randwick. Problem: some cyclists refuse to use the 2-lane marvel with protective bollards & it’s impossible to pass them now. Some ride four across, so they can chat & ignore the traffic now banked up. It’s always men. Why is this so?
