Thinking about how in Gurren Lagan the sniper lady wears almost nothing as her ass-kicking outfit and while yes a little fanservicey, historical archers would wear light armor, at best, because they needed their full range of motion. She wears normal clothes, too, but beachwear is her "uniform"

The Steam Deck is first and foremost a controller-based device. You *can* do your homework on it, but it's not a great experience. I think the Steam Machine will put Linux in a bunch of homes for the first time, and Valve's work on Linux, I think it'll be a good first impression. Linux 📈hopefully
The Steam Machine being a desktop thing and not a portable thing is an important step, I think, for Linux as a movement. Although there's a handful of companies that sell Linux-as-option or Linux-only computers, but none that have a big community around them like Valve and the Steam Deck do. 1/2

I love that the Steam Machine and Steam Deck aren't top-of-the-line spec-wise, that the VR thing they're doing runs on ARM so it doesn't become a face toaster. Everyone else is like, "buy a better graphics card 4head" and Valve is like, "optimize your software, numbnuts!" Good to see I think
