As a lifelong optimist I still believe that it should be possible for people to set out their differing views and why they believe them without it descending into vitriolic insults

So whilst I'm loving the fact that my timeline is no longer filled with conspiracy theorists and those trying to stir up racial hatred with outright lies, I really hope that this won't turn into a completely anodyne space, with no opportunity for people to express a range of views
