Today I chaired a great discussion on the opportunities and challenges around the re-use of heritage buildings for housing. A big thank you to all the panellists #HeritageDay2025
How to realise potential of Heritage to creates homes? Our panel at #HeritageDay2025 suggests local partnerships, pragmatic planning approaches to adaptation and reuse, and funding or other financial incentives (eg VAT reform) could enable large scale success.

Really good to meet with the Minister for Communities, Gordon Lyons, in Belfast yesterday. Very useful discussion on how community and heritage-led regeneration can support the revitalisation of Northern Ireland's towns. @archhfund.org.uk

I'm donating £163. I've been a massive fan of the work of @archhfund.org.uk for many years and even more so since I joined the board & seen what they achieve at close quarters. Whilst we work with buildings, what we do is about people. Have a look at website if you don't believe me!

Last night saw the opening of the Christmas Lights @leedscastle.bsky.social in Kent and they are absolutely stunning, made all the more so by the beautiful landscaped gardens. I went with my family and they loved it.

Lots of talk here on @bsky.app about echo chambers. After the Brexit vote I realised that I'd been living in one, and since then I have worked hard to listen to range of opinions, including those I don't agree with.
