For me for the UI, I did something similar to what they did in the video. I have a scroll box that lists the possible replies. But instead of being run by a behavior tree I used my own code inside a custom “speakable” actor component.

With all the new people listing their interests, I’m amazed at how many people are still listing Animal Crossing. Not trying to yuck anybody’s yum. (I put more than 1500 hours into the game myself) but can’t imagine how people are still finding things to do in the game.
