Author of psychological thrillers including the upcoming THE BRIDE'S SECRET (https://geni.us/B0DZZ3GX49author).

Lives in Edinburgh. Likes to walk her dog, read books, watch terrible reality TV and tumble down weird niche internet rabbit holes.
📖✨ It’s here. After months of writing, editing and dreaming, THE BRIDE'S SECRET is finally out in the world.
To celebrate, here’s the official book trailer (that I made myself!)

My regular reminder that when a company says they don't have a budget, they mean they don't have a budget FOR YOU.

They most certainly will be paying for other people and services.

I don't know how I know this but seeing this picture reminded me that tennis balls have a taste.
Ok so I didn’t really need that in my adult beverage but thanks for sharing

🚨Calling all writers !🚨
Writing is hard and lonely and scary! And though there are lots of great editorial services something that’s missing is the ability just to chat things through with someone. Plotting issues, publishing advice, how to start writing a book 1/2

It's publication day for #TheWomanNextDoor & the amazing @janicehallett.bsky.social said 'dark, menacing and beautifully written, with a strong background in the psychology of behaviour, this is an evocative tale of childhood bullying and its consequences.' I'm blown away! @emblabooks.bsky.social

Somehow I've managed to arrange my life so that my car insurance, home insurance and road tax all need to be arranged and paid at the same time. It's an admin nightmare but at least it all gets done at once, I suppose?

I'm listening to the audiobook of The Lost Passenger by
@franquinn.bsky.social and it's brilliant! A wonderful historical fiction novel about a woman who survives the sinking of the Titanic and grasps an opportunity to start a new life. Highly recommended! Fantastic narrators too.
I don’t suppose I’ll write a hundred books (unless there’s a trend for very very short historical fiction, or they figure out the eternal life thing), but even if I could, I don’t think the thrill of seeing a new one for the first time would ever get old. And this is my new one.

The new from The Darkness is huge fun — I Hate Myself sounds like a mashup of Status Quo, Mika, Queen, and Chuck Berry. And it’s a foot stomper! youtu.be/v4I7WBWSs2I?...

What things do you do so regularly that they're automatic, but to others they might seem strange?

Mine are:
1) I always "cheers" my first sip of an alcoholic drink.
2) I try to get a little bit of everything onto my fork so each mouthful contains my whole plate

My husband & I went to an escape room and solved puzzles about C19th body snatchers. Kevin did the most work, while I followed him around offering tips & reading things out loud.

Swipe to see us in California 11 years ago when we were mere babies 🥰 #tbt #throwbackthursday #throwback

I just scheduled a post to go live in a couple of days and I haven't done that before (ooh, look at me being all organised). But it feels so weird: where's my dopamine hit of immediate feedback as I refresh waiting for comments and likes? I have to... wait? For two days?! No thanks lol
