I made a Starter Pack for community people.

There should be more on it, where y’all at?

Enshittification of social networks is real.

I honestly think I'm mostly done with them all.

I was definitely done with X a long while back.
X rolled out a new feature overnight showing where accounts are based. This network of “Trump-supporting independent women” that claimed to be “real Americans” are based in Thailand.

The photos were stolen from European models & posts pushed pro-Trump lines while targeting Islam and LGBTQ people.

SEO, AEO and GEO for communities, oh my!

What does it mean?

What strategies are working?

Is AI really killing traffic?

How can we appear on AI overviews? And how it works for me within hours.

How can we think about it from a community mindset?

Whilst I've kind of always built community this way, I feel like doubling down on building our own thing is empowering us even more.

I can create something that changes our own world, that might end up changing the world.

I’m not sure any SEND parent can watch this without getting emotional and upset.

Honestly, we’ve found it easier not to go through it…opting to home educate without any support feels like an easier way to live.

What looks like ‘just a conversation’ to you is actually:

• Customer insights
• Trust building
• Early warnings
• Decision support

Community is operational intelligence.

Community isn’t just engagement.

It’s glue work.

Invisible, essential, and holding the whole damn system together

Imagine there was a "Minister of Employment" who tracks that you attend work. And continually shames you. Monitors you. And then they fine you for not attending, because you took a holiday, or had some kind of life need or emergency.

It's ok for kids, but not for adults? Wild.

Why guess what people want when they’re literally telling you in Slack, forums, community conversations, DMs, and support tickets?

Community Discovery is the cheat code.
August 29, 2025 at 9:00 AM
Product teams spend months trying to validate assumptions.

Community teams already know what’s true.

We've been listening all this time.
August 28, 2025 at 9:00 AM
The future of product discovery is community-powered.

If you're not mining your community for insight, you're flying blind.

I'm not trying to beat the algorithm.

I'm replacing it.

Don't let the social networks have all the fun.
August 27, 2025 at 9:00 AM
They said it couldn’t be done.

But I heard whispers between the code: make it human again.

So I did. And so we are. 🤩

Don't let the social networks have all the fun.

Social platforms: boring, broken, bloated.

Me: rebellious, resilient, reimagined ✨

Don't let the social networks have all the fun.
August 25, 2025 at 2:15 PM
Big platforms: we control the algorithm.

Me: I control the vibe. And it’s working.

Don't let the social networks have all the fun.

Glue work isn’t glamorous.

But without it, teams crumble, decisions flop, and knowledge gets lost.

Community keeps the flywheel spinning.
August 22, 2025 at 2:15 PM
The people warned me not to build.

They rolled their eyes.

They gave me side glances.

But this isn’t just code, it’s care, woven into everything we ship.

Don't let the social networks have all the fun.

Community platforms move at the speed of molasses.

I move at the speed of give a damn.

Don't let the community platforms have all the fun.
