When I worked at Space Camp as a counselor in my early transition days, the place was a safe haven in Alabama for me, where I didn't have to worry about discrimination. That illusion was shattered when I learned that after I had left, a trans person was forced to quit for her own safety.
Everyone who works at nasa must have come there with hearts full of exploration and wonder and love of humanity and I don’t know how you can read that email and not feel like you work at a place that is small and cruel
