Group think and consensus ideals will always be a part of Fandom culture - I'm curious how much of the yearly GOTY outrage is because the average gamer is only playing a one or two "high quality games" per year. If you only played 1 of the "hits" this year, aren't you likely to root for it?

I got into a "retire early" mindset a few years back and 2 million for me & my partner sets us up for the rest of our lives, not even living super modestly. It's insane to think about being many orders of magnitude higher than that and still clawing for more $$$

The upgraded performance is what I was most excited for in Switch 2 but it doesn't sell consoles (I haven't bought one). Lineups always take time to grow anyway and playing the games I already own can be done on Switch 1

However, it is also incredibly human to rely on past info to conduct your future actions. How many people didn't know Cyberpunk was on the up & up until the DLC released? So much content online is rage-bait style and doesn't cover when things turn around, how would you even know to look?

The AI translation is really inexcusable. They admitted they could've left it English only (it's a tiny part of their text, after all) and added translation in later. Using AI to ship faster with subpar (and highly questionable!) quality should never be the goal
