Seems more relevant by the day - I was playing a dying asym horror game a few years back. Nothing was more annoying than people making videos / chatting about how the game wasn't performing well or obsessing over steam charts data as if they were the studio execs. It meant no one new tried to play

We adopted a second cat and now my entire life is cat politics and trying to get them to be nice (or neutral!) to each other. It is proving difficult but they are both precious angels

My favorite jeans ripped so now I have to embark on a journey to find a needle that can handle jeans, thread in the right color, and an embroidery hoop for tension?? Here's hoping the local Joann is not completely barren or else I have to go out of my way on this grocery-turned-treasure-hunt trip

Started Final Fantasy VII Remake last night and aside from it feeling like I'm watching a movie vs playing a game, with the amount of cutscenes and "scenic" walks Cloud is taking, this game is nuts and I think I get it now 😂 We'll see how this progresses as I don't have a lot of love for jrpgs yet

Downloaded the Monster Hunter Wilds benchmark to see if my PC will explode and got hit with a 10+ minute long "compiling shaders" and "optimizing" screen. Gotta treat modern games like dial-up internet and go walk around the house after opening them smh

I am on a massive nostalgia kick and have essentially teleported myself back to the 2010's in terms of media. I recently beat Dragon Age Origins, Terraria, working on Persona 4 Golden. Watching shows from 2008 and listening to old podcasts. It is absolutely delightful to revisit the past this way

Started playing Dragon Age: Origins recently and cannot get over how it is simultaneously true that:
1. Playing old games on pc is wildly frustrating (need SO much work to run on modern hardware) and
2. The modding scene for old games proves that humanity is good bc someone will always help you

I love Game of the Year season because it is so fun to see what video games everyone is most excited about that released this year - so I low key get disappointed when everyone's lists start to line up

My proudest gaming achievement for October! I beat Silent Hill 1 this month since I'm too cheap to buy $70 SH2 remake 😅
I was happy that I enjoyed it a lot and the clunkier aspects didn't affect my experience negatively. It was game 52 on my Video Game Bucket List that I've played
