Heard some hours that a fairly large Solar Storm / Geomagnetic Storm is bound to hit Earth. Just here wondering how this compares to other CME events and probably more importantly what effect it will have, if it causes any kind of EMP.

Listened to new Dua Lipa last night, only once, but initial thoughts other than singles she already released, some others I liked the 1st song, End Of An Era, the last song, Happy For You, and Falling Forever. She said it was going to be different. I think her other 2 albums & songs set the bar high

If this places gets approved hopeful it will be as green as possible, community food gardens, waste water recycle/capture, composting, solar, large sidewalks, bike lanes, buses, train line that could connect to Bay Area rail or Future High Speed Rail line etc.
California’s billionaire-funded city could now include a train
California Forever's lead urban designer describes how transit could potentially be part of the city plan.

Mark Olalde explains the situation I've been discussing where the US oil industry is preparing to stick the public with the cleanup bill.

“When the bottom goes out of this oil and gas production economy, who’s going to be left holding that bag?”

Hint: Not the oil industry.

Given the Alabama Supreme Court ruling on embryos. However you may feel about him. This seems like one of those moments President Biden could use to gain & win back supporters; if he were to call for an actual ceasefire & touted some of positive things his administration has been doing lately.

With the at&t nationwide cellular outage that happened, it's kind of ironic that they and other officials were saying to use landlines instead. Here in the State of California at&t completely wants to shut down their landline and stop having to operate and maintain the lines.

I am a big introvert and a bit of a homebody but I will try and do my best to remember to use this platform so it can grow and spread. Engage, is the word I suppose. I don't think bsky would even have to become as large as those other websites since, they are full of never ending: bots, spam, & ads.

Trying to think if I ever made a profile on Mastodon, I don't believe I ever did. Some major sites I 'actively' use / interact with in some small way are: x, insta, reddit, fet-life, seeking, & I guess youtube. Now add on bsky as well. Any other major networking or messaging I don't use like at all.

Seem less active than other social media websites but maybe that's not a bad thing. Those other websites could be too much 'noise' in some sense. Like I'm wondering what the 'dunbar's number' could be in the amount of people you could realistically follow, remember, & know well from online/internet.

I heard on the radio when I was listening to the news waiting for the SMART Train one morning about a week ago that BlueSky was open to the public and anyone could join now. So I finally remembered to make an account. So I imagine over time more & more people will at the very least make an account.
