We are marching to Senator Thune’s office. There must be accountability for the detainment of a Senator. This is not normal.

A group of us have arrived on the Senate floor to challenge our colleagues - on both sides of the aside - to rise to this moment and jointly condemn what has happened to Sen. Padilla. Yes we still need to collect the full facts, but this appears to be a defining moment for the country.

Kristi Noem must resign. She has deported a four year old with cancer, detained a U.S. marshal, and arrested two members of Congress. She’s lost the confidence of the American people. ICE must stop terrorizing our communities.

If that’s what they do to a United States Senator with a question, imagine what they can do to any American that dares to speak up. We will hold this administration accountable.

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker has kicked off what is expected to be a marathon speech on the Senate floor to protest actions taken by President Donald Trump’s administration, saying that he will keep going “as long as I am physically able.”

We appreciate that Senator Booker is putting in all of this work to get attention where it belongs: The Trump-Musk coup. We don’t want to see Democrats behaving like this dangerous administration is business as usual — we hope more of your colleagues will follow your lead here.
