Imma be honest. It's really easy for me to boycott. I'm broke. So many of us have already cut out any "extras" we used to enjoy say 5 years ago. I used to get my nails done pretty regular, eat out once a week, purchase clothes when I saw something nice, travel for concerts. All cut on my end.

As someone with literally zero stake in the banning of TikTok, I find the question partially absurd and lightly comical. For people who are more involved, what's the impact of the ban on your life? What will you miss, and what are your feelings on the security concerns?

The degree of dignity I've received from a simple "no, thank you" reply to a job application is so high. For people involved in hiring everywhere: a polite refusal is more humanizing than silence.
