it's such a tragedy that there was never a Wishbone Middlemarch episode 😢 but if there was one, i hard agree that Ladislaw would've been the perfect character for Wishbone himself

i didn't read closely the first time round, but there are multiple ❗️ items in this passage.. thank heavens she is not in possession of any *unbecoming knowledge* .. which makes her perfect for the DOOMED(!) man. 🌶️

i feel for him with the horse thing because it's sooo 🎯 with his denial of the hole he's in / belief that "it will work itself out" despite the low odds (rationally speaking) that he would be able to profitably flip a horse so easily..
