Oh it gets worse... Pupil sizes are larger for people with ADHD even if medication naive, balance issues are common for people with ADHD... Not to mention test anxiety is extreme in ADHD as well, with higher stress leading to more errors.
A compulsory impairment test (CIT) is undertaken by a police officer to determine whether a driver is impaired or not. It includes the officer looking at your eyes, asking you to walk and turn, and getting you to balance on one leg.

What could possibly go wrong with random roadside drug testing...

This is so much worse because there is significant evidence that medication significantly reduces road accidents for men.
Will my ADHD medication test positive? There are some concerns that amphetamine-based medication used to treat ADHD, such as dexamfetamine and lisdexamfetamine, could be detected by roadside testing devices screening for methamphetamine. We have raised this issue with Police. As we do not yet know the testing technology that will be used at the roadside, we are unable to say whether these medications will test positive or not. Under the law, the Minister needs to publish details about the technology that will be used before testing is rolled out. Should I carry my prescription with me? At the moment you can only apply for a medical defence via the Police website and only after an infringement offence notice has been issued. The medical defence does not apply immediately at the roadside. This means that if you give two positive saliva tests at the roadside you will be barred from driving for 12 hours, regardless of whether you have a prescription or not.

Child marriage, defined by the United Nations as a marriage in which at least one party is under 18 years of age occurs legally in the United States. The U.S. is the only UN member state that has not yet ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Its Committee on the Rights of the Child "reaffirms that the minimum age limit should be 18 years for marriage." Within the United States, each state and territory as well as Washington, D.C. set the marriage age in its jurisdiction. As of June 2025, four states have no statutory minimum age when all exemptions are taken into account. These states are California, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

I spent a long time working out why I was depressed - one of the central premises of the book is asking the question - "what is your depression telling you?"

Correcting these core issues of mentioned below was how I pulled myself out of the depths. [Aside from the last one].

This is the best book I have read on AuDHD from a scientific/shared medical/neurodiversity model perspective.

It has some great explanations of the unique interplay of ADHD and Autism within the same person.

We spend 34% more on roads tha, that are used less and poorer quality and less quantity. We spend 64% less on rail, we have 43% less than other countries, the usage is 23% less, and the quality is 90% less.

Deferred maintenance should not be allowed to turn into future infrastructure deficits. We’re already lagging in this area. The OECD ranks New Zealand fourth to last for asset management practices, relative to our peers. That looks like schools with leaking roofs, lessons taught in rotting buildings; sewage leaks in our hospitals; mouldy, poor quality defence accommodation; service outages of commuter rail and ferries; and police stations with black mould, leaks, and asbestos. We can do better. And if we do – the reward is more resources available for other needs and new services.
