There’s no way it wasn’t awesome to go to E3 2001 or whatever, I refuse to believe it. I know it quickly lost its luster but there was a ~5 year stretch where it would’ve been incredible.

These movies would look great on a gameboy screen, but boy do they look incredible on an OLED. Standard definition and CRTs really flattered a lot of the anime I grew up with it, but it’s the opposite for Miyazaki’s stuff.
