The "worst of the worst" has been used by all manner of law enforcement to justify horrible conditions and abuses. It is good that people are calling out the nonsense in the context of the immigration horrors, but the inflammatory and false label deserves the same scrutiny in other settings, too.
The Trump admin said the Everglades detention camp would be for the “worst of the worst.”

Four men sent there so far have nothing on their record other than recent arrests for diving without a license, and were likely only arrested due to racial profiling, as Adam’s excerpt shows.

When you are faced with the mendacity of Trump, Hegseth, & Johnson, it’s pointless to try & get clarity from them.

Go to the trusted sources. If you want to understand how we got here and what Trump & Netanyahu are up to, I present to you she who knows: Christine Amanpour. Breaking. It. Down.

And Indivisible again does its part to fracture the essential alliance to defeat Trump and Trumpism. The claims here are demonstrably false.

The post also shouts in its silence that it has no concern for the hostages that Hamas refuses to release.
"What we are doing in Gaza is a war of extermination: indiscriminate, unrestrained, brutal, and criminal killing of civilians,” [former Prime Minister Olmert] said."

Thoughts and prayers again. Like the gun lobby after every shooting.

Violence like this is the foreseeable consequence of demonizing a people.

True when Trump does it to immigrants.

True when the far left does it to Israel.
National Indivisible says, "Everyone, no matter their background, faith, or identity, deserves to live in safety and dignity. That is a core value we fight for every day at Indivisible, and one we will never compromise.”

Tapper should have cut off Rep. Clyburn’s criticism of Trump and redirected Rep. Clyburn to the urgent topic of Joe Biden’s age.

Rep. Clyburn played a pivotal role in getting Joe Biden elected — and we should be grateful to him for doing so.
Clyburn: "There's nothing wrong with bringing the govt in balance, but there's a problem when that balance comes on the back of working men and women ... when Trump indicated that he ought to be raising taxes on the wealthy, he got our attention. But then he retreated from that almost immediately."

Even those of us who oppose Netanyahu’s food embargo have an obligation to present a fair account. Any fair criticism must include Hamas’ hoarding of existing food supplies. Hamas is willing to subject its own people to hunger in order to garner these one-sided criticisms of Israel.
Let food into Gaza NOW! Netanyahu and his government are starving 2 million civilians. This is day 76 of the blockade. Trucks with food are waiting to get in but are blocked. Children have already died from withholding food.

The U.S. is complicit in this gross violation of international law.

Afrikaners are not facing genocide. But the term genocide has lost its meaning. The left and the right use it to describe situations that are not what genocide used to mean.

Indivisible again mocks its name, sowing division on issues that again could cost us elections.

On the merits, any fair account would condemn Hamas for hiding among civilian targets and using its own people as human shields.

I am pleased to see that the Pope included in his message that the hostages should be released.
Pope Leo XIV on Gaza in his first Sunday blessing:

“I am deeply pained by what is happening on the Gaza Strip. Let the fighting cease immediately, let humanitarian aid be provided to the exhausted civilian population, and may all hostages be released.”

I’m glad he’s advocating for Palestine!

I recall when President George H.W. Bush made some disparaging comments about Jewish influence, he said he was not as alarmed by the criticism he received as he was by the kind of support. Take a look at many of the comments. You will see the same thing.
Today marks 3 years since Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot and killed while reporting in the West Bank—and we've yet to see accountability for her death.

As I told her brother Tony, her niece Lina and her nephew Victor last week, I won't rest until we do.

Hamas had blocked all good and aid to the hostages. Hamas refuses to lay down its arms. Those 2 things would end the conflict.

Palestinians in Gaza have protested against Hamas despite violence directed against the protesters. They know who is to blame for their plight.
For 66 days the Netanyahu government has blocked ALL food and aid from going into Gaza. Now we're told it plans to seize and reoccupy huge parts of Gaza, as it pushes for Trump's plan to force 2 million Palestinians to leave.

That would be ethnic cleansing by another name. We can’t stand for it.
