Reading the NAO report on Clin Neg made me despair. It seems they have no understanding how damages are calculated - it’s not America, we don’t just pluck a number from the sky. Do they actually think NHSR pay damages on that basis? Do we need a report on the effectiveness of the NAO?

@civlittweet.bsky.social with the recent guidance on budgets/expert attendance at trial, is it time to introduce fixed start dates? Experts have to book out a week (or 2) in their diary plus book & cancel accommodation/travel because we get 1 working day’s notice of the start date - time to change?
