It is very important work to report on the news, and I am grateful to reporters still doing that. That said I would prefer to read it in private at my own pace and without group discussion that would be disturbed by my deep sighs and other sounds thank you

What if you emailed them with excitement about their interest in learning about your organization? With some links to articles that will illustrate the biblical basis of your open and affirming positions on various topics? And some information that a person joining your church would want to know?

To take a slightly different tack, if people label themselves as missionaries then I have no problem whatsoever with evangelizing *to* them. What if you assumed that they want to meet with you because they want to learn more about a more generous and welcoming and creative God?
