in order for the math to work it would need to be applied to mean income (which is a much higher number), not median. the median isn't affected by outliers in the same way the mean is

not that it has any relevance to the original point, but yeah humans have been hopelessly outclassed by chess engines for a while now. Carlsen trains with a computer but won't play against it because it always wins

that sucks. if this is from Edge's default new tab page and there aren't any restrictions on your laptop from work (and I don't see why there would be) it should hopefully be pretty easy to disable
