Roman Roads
@romanroads.bsky.social
It's all about the roads, #Roman by origin, and whatever has happened to them since. www.romanroads.org for more, much more.
It's funny it's not mentioned on his Wikipedia page but these things aren't always accurate

So sad. It's a fair fall to genocide in Bere Regis.

Wondered what happened after the Eurhythmics

I know as much about basket weaving as I do mosaicing, so I bow to your superior knowledge on this one

Anyway, John Poulter will be looking at the case for a Roman canal running into Leicester. This first appeared in the newsletter and then in Itinera vol 3, but of course there's more to the story now

I wonder if the mosaicer just thought, 'Ah, it'll be reet, nobody will notice it, they'll be looking at the picture.'

Hadn't realised it was Black Friday til I decided to buy a knife sharpener

It's just undergoing more proof reading and checks currently. It's as accurate as current knowledge allows. If there's not evidence for a road, it's not there. A layer to be added later will include the rejected roads.

And, of course, it will continue to be developed as evidence emerges

Huge apologies if you were one of those Zoom wouldn't allow in. We'd paid for 1000 attendees but Zoom stopped at 500. The fact that there are more than 500 people who want to play with a digital map of old roads is very comforting in my mind.
