I mean, look at that - why would you not want to go and poke around an area that looks like that.

Easy to get to, too - just up from Ecclefechan (ooh, early church place name) known as The 'Fech locally (really) just off the M74.

And sadly the OS aren't always right either. Which is a shame. Some stuff needs updating but they seem slow to do it. Blackstone Edge definitely isn't a RR, for instance.

Let's have a picture. If you peer hard enough it's an agger (the raised mound Roman roads ran on) up in the Cheviot, bang on the Pennine Way which follows it for a wee while. In real life it's very clear in places and a good one to have a nosy at. It's somewhere around NT 789 089
Lumpy grassy track with heather and rough grass. There is a slight mound, agger, on which the Roman road once ran but it's hard to see even for those with good eyesight - more they eye of faith than anything. The photographer is frankly a bit average. Quite a moody sky, cloud level is reasonably high and it's not raining which counts for good weather in the Cheviot. It's also the route of the Pennine Way at this point which is a thin grassy trod rather than a major path at this point.
