Here's what I'm into for 2025:
- 80s/90s X-Men comics
- running
- the Morris Canal
- running the Morris Canal
- e-drum lessons
- The Shining
- Scrabble
- being a dad to a double digit daughter
Why does starting a new book immediately after finishing one always win over getting other things in life accomplished?

Never saw an IMAX film until tonight--The Shining 35th anniversary. If I'm being totally honest (spoiler: I am) I was a bit underwhelmed. I thought it would be bigger and louder. When I got home I learned that I probably experienced what the cool kids call Lie-MAX, the inferior IMAX. 🍋🪓

I'm sorry I don't talk about work on social media anymore. Just wrapped a 16 hour day!

I almost just liked my own post I saw pop up in my timeline.

Puff Daddy, Vince McMahon, and Donald Trump should live out the rest of their days in R. Kelly's prison toilet.

Do I have time to finish this 4 hour program in the next half hour?

(Me, every day)

"He squeezed the accelerator like the breast of a much-loved woman..."

Ok, Stephen King, if you say so.

I used to be a great whistler, but in the last couple of years, I've lost the ability to accurately hit some notes on the higher end of my scale. I understand not being able to hear, see, or sing like I used to, but seriously, does fucking WHISTLING suffer with age too?

Why doesnt Alan Arkin's Wikipedia page contain a filmography. Feels criminal.

I took advantage of a Cyber Monday deal and finally got myself a new PC laptop since everything is obsolete and unsupported on my old one (which I will continue to use as well).

But it made me think about my really stubborn Windows OS progression over the years.

Are you ready for this?

And the wasps... fine segment in a 400 page book that can be referenced later, on other levels. But in a a movie, meh. Didn't Amityville Horror already do an attack of flies anyway?

The hedge animals are definitely spooky in writing, though I prefer the execution of the hedge maze onscreen way more.

I have zero interest in the details of mob-related activities of past Overlook guests and owners.

Also, hey, look at Jack fulfilling his boiler duties in the book!

Working my way through Stephen King's The Shining (the book) for the first time.

As a big fan of Kubrick film, but not of the King-approved TV Movie, I can still stay that I appreciate the book so far. I am happy about many of Kubrick's alterations, but there are plenty of decent ideas in the

Update on Beavis and Butthead:
I found a stream of just the music videos BUT they're all out of order and only the ones BnB are favorable towards, so it was an unsatisfying experience.

Researched a Cyber Monday purchase for a few hours and then finally pulled the trigger at 11:59pm.

My credit card company immediately suspected it was a fraudulent purchase and restricted all activity for me!

Cyber Monday is apparently on west coast time though so I eventually got things working.

I can't watch Beavis and Butt-head without the videos but I could probably marathon the Beavis and Butt-head videos without the rest of the content.

The real question is when?
November 27, 2025 at 5:01 AM
Not gonna lie, I still try to use the Force every day, just in case it kicks in for me.

I may have mentioned this before but the Achilles heel to my AI Sucks stance is Steven Hawking being inserted into violent physical situations like a wrestling match or the battle bots arena.

More Reddit fun. I had someone get pissy with me the other day for not upvoting them before asking them a follow-up question in a plumbing advice sub.

Now I generally upvote helpful or friendly people (and did some elsewhere in this thread) but I'll be the first to admit that upvoting...

Like Star Wars, there is now too much Alien and Predator content in the world.

I was just about to break into 1989 reading the Inferno arc in X-Men, but I need to briefly back up and read the 4-part X-Terminators.

I'm just glad I dont have to go back to Power Pack any time soon.
