I turned around one day and saw .. this

"So, I tried making poached eggs thinking we had vinegar. Nope, never EVER make poached eggs with balsamic vinegar. This is the outcome. Demon eggs. Alien eggs or the cocoons from Gremlins. Either way .. they look horrifying. Edit: they still taste like 'em. Just not a very pretty sight." 6 poached eggs, tinted a dark dull violet. The regular poached eggs "strings" are darker and give a very unsettling eldritch cast to them.

Someone took the time to tag every character death in the books. I did read the entire series, to date, and dont recommend people do that

I wouldn't call it grimdark. Warhammer 40K is grimdark. I call it more of a slog
5 stacked books (4 large trade paperbacks, 1 hardcover) with colored tags on pages. Theres dozens of tags in each book. It seems that there's more tags in every successive book.

Proof!

These are turrets (mostly) and the bases are approximately 15mm square. They designer calls them SMOL Tanks and they are indeed smol

Once the silver & gold are done its touchup time then sorting them into groups for their bright colors
A variety of small tank turrets. They're primer white with silver and gold painted. There's a wet palette at the top (currently dry) with a lot of dried paint on it. If youre really into details there's a bottle of Monument white paint in the upper left corner and 1/4 view of my eyeglasses with clip on magnifier in the lower right corner.

I took a class on making cake pops. I found out:

1: I don't like making cake pops
2: I'm not good at making cake pops

They're ugly but they're still cake pops. And I'll never make them again
Some rather pathetic cake pops. Some fell off the stick while dipping. Some stuck to others in the difficult to use stand so there's coating transfer and bare spots. The drizzle effect is more of a "well, i guess they tried" level on what's supposed to be candy corn. I didnt indent the ridges on the pumpkins deep enough so they filled in with chocolate to be lumpy balls. There's some squares that are the starting shape youre supposed to roll etc but I'd given up by then and square is a shape.

A (well composed, if I do say so myself) of puffy clouds and blue sky over farm fields with trees in the distance. The composition is a bit off the 1/3 rule with the field taking less than 1/4 of the space but the clouds were too good not to have them fill the majority of the image.
