Beta-blocker use after myocardial infarction reduces the risk of death in patients with a reduced ejection fraction, but its benefit is less clear in patients without a reduced ejection fraction. Research findings from the REBOOT trial are summarized in a new Quick Take video. nej.md/47Az6rE

I'm really tired of shady #GLP1 studies that are nothing but marketing
Single centre retroactive observational study can never establish a nexus of causality, esp with such a wide coinfection interval. Confounded and very weak.

Another PSA screening failure (and study shenanigans). After 23 years follow-up no difference in all cause mortality.

It's said that more 90% of clinical trials are underpowered. #SURPASSCVOT is the latest example.
0.55 to 0.94) and all-cause mortality hazard ratio: 0.61; 95.0% CI: 0.45 to 0.82
These are rather wide CI. A sign of underpower or lousy selection. Looks like pure marketing to me.

Invesrigación necesita formación , tiempo y dinero. Vale la pena el tiempo y dinero invertido? Claro que no.

Listening to Peter Thiel intelectual karaoke . Pretentious jargon that the interviewer doesn't dare to question. When you are Peter Theil, it is difficult to have someone call you out on your bullshit.

#SOLOISTWHF is an example of sheermarketing. Enlist a highly diverse cohort of 79% HFrEF and 21% #HfrEF then market the results as positive for HfpEF. A closer look at the CI reveals an imprecise underpowered & completely useless trial. Pure marketing.

A lot of talk of cardiorenal syndrome, largely potentiated by producers of #sglt2i and #glp1 I'm not sure it's a clinical entity. More approropiately a pathophysiology. For me it's still hear failure +/- renal disease.

VKA are safer than DOACs in frail patients. ?Questionable study. DOAC dosis are not reported and Apixaban (most widely used) is only 17% of patients. A real study should be VKA vs Apixaban 2.5mg BID.

Come on America. Trump, Musk and now this guy? Is this is kind of thought you are able to produce lately? Is this the end of American civilization?
