Vacherot upset Djokovic while Rinderknech beat Medvedev - both former champions in Shanghai.

World number 204 Valentin Vacherot wasn't even a qualifier at the Shanghai Masters. He was an alternate.

He has just beaten 24-times Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic for his first top-10 win to become the lowest-ranked player ever to reach an ATP Masters 1000 final.
