I've covered sports at various venues for years. I don't think anything will beat the foot of the Eiffel Tower!

Beach Volleyball at the Olympic Games in Paris will forever be a highlight.

I'm going to miss this desk!

Nothing left to fight for at the end of the season for Alex Marquez but that was an epic duel with Pedro Acosta until the chequered flag to win the sprint. Fantastic racing from both riders as Acosta waits for that elusive win. #PortugueseGP #MotoGP

Declan Rice 2-0! But a goal from open play? On a counter? I don't recognise this team anymore... #BURARS

Spalletti: "In Naples, something extraordinary emerged thanks to the beauty of the football we played and what we achieved, a wonderful and important league title... This morning I had to have some tests, I had blood taken from my other arm because I didn't want anything to be touched on this one."

Jemimah Rodrigues, take a bow!

Reached a massive hundred but didn't celebrate. She knew the the job wasn't done. Only when the last run was struck, the record chase complete, did she allow herself a smile.

An innings that will be remembered for generations!

Sheffield Wednesday, a 158-year-old club brought to its knees by financial issues, has gone into administration and been stripped of 12 points. They are rock bottom in the Championship with -6 points.

Relegation seems inevitable after Derby County walked the same road and fell.

Marc Marquez's season is over after sustaining a collarbone injury in that crash in Indonesia. Won't matter to him having already won the title a week earlier, but a shame he couldn't finish the season and set a benchmark for the points record. #MotoGP

My piece on Postecoglou's 39-day nightmare at Nottingham Forest, ended by a 39-word statement from the club - 20 minutes after their loss to Chelsea.

Yesterday Postecoglou said he always wins a trophy in his second season but Evangelos Marinakis didn't wait until May 2027. He waited 24 hours.
October 18, 2025 at 3:44 PM
"Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect."

That was quick! Decision probably made at 2-0 when Evangelos Marinakis left his seat.

Extraordinary press conference from Nottingham Forest's embattled manager Ange Postecoglou as he defended his early tenure and winless run, insisting that patience will be rewarded with silverware - just as it was at his previous clubs.

World number 204 Valentin Vacherot wasn't even a qualifier at the Shanghai Masters. He was an alternate.

He has just beaten 24-times Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic for his first top-10 win to become the lowest-ranked player ever to reach an ATP Masters 1000 final.
