Super pleased with how these frivolous foppish shoes turned out! I bought the shoes off Vinted (£4!) and added the trim and a pure silk bow, along with some grip for the soles so I don't slide everywhere.

Re-covered my fabric box with fabric scraps, mostly in an effort to stop scrolling on my phone.

Some of these scraps are pretty old, from cushion covers my Gran had made, or from the stuffing of her cushions.

Ideally I'd have washed and ironed everything but I could not with another step.

Ended up at my local museum sketching things today. I especially loved the folk-art jug, from Ebbw Vale, 1800s.

Curlew, gouache and charcoal on paper.

Curlew are currently on the Red list here in Wales, they are waders with a beautifully eerie call. As ground-nesters, their eggs are especially vulnerable to predators and farming practices. I hope they can continue as a species.

Hadn't been to feed this flock of pigeons in my local park for too long. Today they were well behaved and a bit flighty. Must remember that feeding the pigeons makes everything better.

(I use hand sanitizer immediately afterwards)

Will have to wait to see if it gets accepted, but submitting my art for consideration (and in midwinter) feels like an accomplishment in itself.

There wasn't much footfall at the market yesterday. But I loved my silly foppish outfit! The ghost of Christmas present's twink assistant! I made the shirt, necklace, and wreath-crown, and did minor altering on the breeches.
