Third time's the /charm! Pardon our Firmament dust as we get the website updated for year 3.0 happening on October 17 & 18, 2026 back at the St. Charles Convention Center! As mentioned prior, we'll be using only the lower level this time as we find our break even point. More news to come!

That recalled vyvanse might have fucked me up. Didn't notice they switched me to generic, too!! Insomnia every night, frantic existential dread, and i couldn't stop having the meanest intrusive thoughts. Found out about the recall on Friday, only just this morning do I begin to feel normal again.

a lot of people think trauma means something dramatic happened to you. a single catastrophic event you can point to and say that's when everything changed. but it's deeper than than that, it was an atmosphere. the silence where love should have been. critism in place of encouragement.

Goal setting-- even the word "goals"-- can be triggering to trauma survivors who have had our self-esteem cooked by abuse or neglect. Understanding goals as helpful & supportive, not demands or attempts to control us, can take time.
Easy does it. Let this be a process.

Unfortunately, this. Genre fiction makes the most sense to my backwards brain. Forever livid that whatever compassion OSC tapped into when he wrote the Ender saga never actually got through to the author himself and his work has to live with the legacy of his bigotry.

Turns out that being your own worst bully is not good for you, yo. Recognizing how I'd treat someone else I love in any given situation and then applying that to myself has had huge benefits.

This is Vilyette/Vilya! She was a Lady of Ishgard who abandoned her titles & ran away to Gridania to become an adventurer. People weren't pronouncing her name (Veel-y-eht) so over time she made the change to Vilya (Veel-yha). It was easier & helped her distance herself from her Ishgardian heritage.
