Watch your noggins, everyone.
It’s the middle of November and these wee little white flowers are still in bloom in the flowerbox. The impending climate catastrophe at least offers us some small beauties.

Sunset on North Shore Channel Trail.

Aurorae Borealis are all well and good, but give me a Rogers Park mackerel sky sunset anytime.

What are the odds? I brought a gooseneck lamp that originally belonged to my great-grandparents in for rewiring(last rewiring was in 1950s, according to guy there, who’d know). Someone else had brought in THE EXACT SAME LAMP. Only in a big city . . . Recommend this place highly. alampandfixture.com

So many courtyard and other buildings constructed in Rogers Park during the heyday of Too Much Ain’t Enough. Like this stained glass decor in my old home, Campus Towers[sic: it’s only one Tower]. Or the half-assed Cathedral door.

Random Rogers Park heavily decorated door. Not sure how this gets translated into classic heraldic terminology. @ladytophamcatt.bsky.social

When the first snowfall comes hard on the heels of the first leaf-fall, but before you can rake, interesting aesthetics ensue.

Anti-ICE protest in Little Village. WBBM just included it in the traffic news. Be safe.

Holy Moly, it’s a Mr. Boffo crossover, with Willy from Willy ‘n Ethel making an appearance at the lunch counter with Earl! @neilsteinberg.bsky.social Get Willie ‘n Ethel back in the Sun-Times, and I will double my donation on top of my subscription. @chicago.suntimes.com

Today’s election results remind me of this 2016 Wiener’s Circle sign. For some reason. Would tag these geniuses, but they are not on Bluesky.

If any of the millionaires who are gonna move from New York City to Texas or Florida want to let me sublet their penthouse for . . . Zero dollars? Nah, fuck off anyway. @debsmuseum.bsky.social

In honor of today’s Trial of the Century in DC. Was willing to throw this at an ICE agent if I encountered any of those swine, but no such luck. And if a mere Subway can be so dangerous, a Capt’n Nemo’s is a weapon of mass destruction.

Goodnight from Chicago, and the Late Capitalist Constellation of planes headed into O’Hare.

Time to calm my baseball-addled soul with Finnegans Wake. Solid clear-your-head go-to-sleep reading. Or maybe not . . . Given how LA’s perhaps design influenced destiny?

I hate 95th Street with the heat of a thousand suns, but occasionally it frames a lovely sunset. @aka60643.bsky.social

Barroom chatter about The Ex-Cub Factor, the idea that a World’s Serious team w/3 or more ex-Cubs will lose due to “Cubness.” I wonder what Mike Royko would say about this AI search result.(Forgot to add -ai, my bad). @buckweaver.bsky.social @craigcalcaterra.bsky.social @pwsullivan.bsky.social
